Services

At Sense of Soul Psychology, our services are grounded in safety, understanding, and respect for your lived experience. From individual therapy to comprehensive assessments, our approach is collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and designed to help you feel seen, informed, and supported.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy at Sense of Soul Psychology is an invitation to slow down and turn inward. We offer a trauma-informed, affirming and supportive space to explore your experiences, understand unhelpful patterns, and develop meaningful change, guided by evidence-based approaches and authentic connection.

Therapy is not about fixing you.

It’s about understanding you and supporting the parts of you that need attention, compassion, and validation.

  • We support children (aged 10+), teens, adults, and parents through 50-minute individual sessions, available in-person or online.

  • Therapy is a collaborative, two-way process where we focus on what matters most to you. Together, we set meaningful goals and work toward them at a pace that feels right.

Session frequency is tailored to your needs and may change over time depending on your goals and circumstances.

We incorporate brain-based psychoeducation and practical strategies grounded in current research - helping you understand how your brain works, make sense of your emotional and behavioural responses, and build tools to navigate everyday life.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, we can explore that together.

  • We are skilled and experienced to provide warm, and affirming therapy for:

    • ADHD and Autism

    • Anxiety and stress

    • Trauma and attachment concerns

    • Low mood and depression

    • Burnout and overwhelm

    • People pleasing patterns

    • Life transitions and adjustment

    • Relationship challenges

    • Low self-esteem and identity exploration

    • Sleep concerns

    • Emotional regulation difficulties

    • Feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected

    • Neurodivergent internalised and high-masking presentations

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for what you’re experiencing, we can explore that together.

  • Therapy remains grounded in evidence-based psychological practice.

    Depending on your needs, our work may draw from the following principles;

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

    • Schema Therapy

    • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

    • Trauma-informed frameworks

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • For children, sessions often include a mix of one-on-one time and parent involvement, as this can be important for progress. Parent-only sessions are also available to support you in understanding your child and building strategies at home.

For teens, therapy is primarily individual, supporting their autonomy and confidentiality. Parental involvement occurs with the teen’s consent and focuses on supporting progress while respecting their privacy.

The only exception to confidentiality is where there are safety concerns. In these situations, the process will always be explained clearly. More information about confidentiality and its limits is available in the FAQ section.
